How I came to my owners

In November 1997, a couple from Germany came to the National Stud Farm Topoľčianky in Slovakia, presumably to buy a pure white Lipizzan mare. For days, they walked through the stables, and the strange man always held some kind of photo device towards us Lipizzans. Enough already! The strange man wants to take another photo of me. I didn’t like that! Eventually, I boldly bit down the photo device, breaking the photo device. It seems that was the icebreaker, and instead of opting for a pure white mare, the couple naturally chose me. And so, as a young stallion, I came to Germany in May 1998.

In Deutschland als Junghengst auf dem Gelände eines Pensionspferdestalles

In Germany, as a approved young stallion, on the premises of a boarding stable.

Back from the breeding season, as a 17-year-old senior stallion, I am trained and in top shape.
My years in Germany

No boredom here

I am a Lipizzan, so I always need something to do and something to learn. Being balanced, nerve-strong, and sometimes a bit temperamental, and always curious, I was always eager to learn.

I had the opportunity to learn repeatedly at fairs and exhibitions such as Equitana, Eurocheval, the Grüne Woche, or events like Santa Claus and harvest festivals as one-horse carriage. My owners always said I was the baroque type of Lipizzan with a “Herculean neck” and a well developed hindquarters, a more high principled and self-motivated eventing Lipizzan.

My journey to become a breeding stallion

How to train bipeds

From 2009 onwards, I became a father. It’s according to my excellent, affable character that I have not changed despite many years insemination and artificial insemination of mares. On the contrary, my offspring often clearly bear my characteristics.

Anyway, I always kept my owners and staff at the EU insemination station of the state stud farm Redefin on their toes. I have sired offspring both natural service and fixed-time artificial insemination with fresh sperm and frozen sperm (certificate of pure breeding of EU). Fortunately, I can still do that with my frozen semen. For today and in the future.

At 11 years old, finally a fully mature developed, the baroque type. In the background stable buildings of my racing stables of trotters.

A LIPIZZAN, LIKE ME, ALWAYS HAS A MIND OF HIS OWN. I LIKE TO SURPRISE EVERYONE BY GOING BACKWARDS INTO THE SHOWER STALL OR HORSE TRAILER.
Only backwards.
It’s my decision; it’s my WAY. iT’S NOT THE DECISION OF bIPEDS AROUND ME.
