Insemination

From 2012 to 2017, Maestoso X Timrava was in action at the EU insemination station of the state stud farm Redefin (state Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania) during the breeding season. During this time, frozen semen was also produced, which is properly stored there.

We chose this specialized state stud farm because of the certified EU insemination station. It was important for us, to select an insemination station with EU approval for our breeding stallion, in order to be able to provide internationally accepted semen to breeders world-wide.

At the same time, we were able to seize the opportunity to create and store a genetical reserve of this main bloodline.

Considering that there are legal regulations for the quality and distribution of fresh semen and frozen semen nationally, in Europe and worldwide, the effort involved is certainly conceivable. This commences by sample collection process, sperm production/ejaculate right down to freezing competence.

To ensure that the quality reaches you as well, we rely on the experience of the EU insemination station Redefin for worldwide shipping.

Some Lipizzans from the offspring of Maestoso X Timrava (fresh semen, frozen semen) can be viewed; for others, we can provide documentation.

In summary, I would like to note that we have taken on this considerable effort at the state stud farm Redefin to contribute to a little of preservation of the Lipizzan breed. It is my conviction, my ideology and philosophy.

Generations

The dark color of our stallion can be traced back, amongst them, to the stallion Conversano I Ravata, born in 1963 at the National Stud Topoľčianky (3rd generation paternal).

Mitja, lipizzan of World Driving Championship even after many years in top-level competition, perfectly healthy and extremely agile, exactly typical Lipizzan.
Colt 12 hr. aged; the foaling mare with a somewhat anomalously brown coloration and “porcelain eyes”, indicating the “pinto factor” respectively dappled horse over the centuries.
The light brown foal coat changed over the course of three years to a dark brown coat. The dark contrast level of the long hair (crest, tail) is already clearly visible.
